Privacy policy

Cubelytics (cubelytics.net) is a speedcubing stats site built and run by Vihaan, a speedcuber (about me). It is not part of the World Cube Association.

• When you sign in: your email address and name, from Google, the WCA, or the account you create.
• If you use the timer: your solves and sessions.
• If you turn on competition alerts: the email address you give us, your zip code, how far you'll travel, and the events you picked. We ask for your birth month and year to check your age, but we don't save it.
• If you turn on text alerts: your mobile number, when you agreed to texts and which version of the SMS terms you saw, and whether each text we sent was delivered. We don't keep copies of the texts.

Only to run the features you use: saving your solves and sending the alerts you asked for. We don't show ads, and we don't sell or share your information for marketing.

We use your mobile number only to send the competition alerts you signed up for. We don't sell or share your mobile number. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except Twilio, which delivers the texts for us.

• Resend, which sends our emails.
• Twilio, which sends our texts, and your mobile carrier, which delivers them.
• Our hosting provider, which runs the servers and database.
• Google and the WCA, if you sign in with them.

Email and text alerts are only for people 13 and older. We check age before we accept an email address or phone number for alerts, and we don't save the birthday. If we learn that someone under 13 signed up, we delete their information. A parent or guardian can ask us to review or delete their child's information, including an email address or phone number, by emailing vihaan@cubelytics.net. We reply within 30 days.

• Alerts that are never confirmed are deleted after 7 days.
• Records of which competitions we emailed you about are deleted after 180 days.
• If you unsubscribe, we delete your alert and keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of the address so we don't email it again.
• Your mobile number is deleted when you turn off texts, reply STOP, or delete your alert or account. After a STOP we keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of the number, so we never text it again.
• Sign-up codes expire after 10 minutes. A number that is never confirmed with its code is deleted after 1 day.
• Records of the texts we sent (time and delivery status, not the message) are deleted after 90 days.
• Everything else is deleted when you delete your account.

• Unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of any email, or reply STOP to any text.
• Change, pause or delete alerts, or turn off texts, on your account page.
• Delete your account, and all its data, from the account page.
• Email vihaan@cubelytics.net for anything else.
